The Kids' Eggs in One Basket
When our kids started second grade
we thought it was time that they learned
how to manage money,
how to save, spend and earn.
So we gave them something special
when they got home today.
They each got a basket.
They were yellow, blue and gray.
We told them “If you keep your rooms
nice and neat every week,
we’ll give you eggs for your baskets.
They’re eggs you can keep.”
It might work for your kids.
They’ll choose what they like to do
to earn spending money
and they’ll help YOU, too.
Our kids cleaned up their rooms
and they picked up their clothes.
We gave them eggs and they loved it.
We’ll see how it goes!
Brad thought it would be a good idea if WE got a basket and started saving… so far so
good… I’ll keep you posted!
