Ben loves to SPEND
We’re helping our kids learn to SAVE
and we told them why.
If they save enough then THEY
can choose what they will buy.
You might think what your kids are
saving for is a big mistake,
a toy that they don’t need or
something fragile that might break…
Let them buy it, anyway.
If things don’t work out then
NEXT time they save for something
they might think again.
Ben took his eggs, went to the store
and bought ten baseball bats.
He already had a zillion, but
we did NOT mention that.
When he got home he looked
at all his hats and his bats, too
and said “Next time I save I'll make sure
that I buy something NEW!”
Brad and I are saving to take the kids on a vacation… we’re putting eggs in our basket but it’s taking a while. I told him I hope we can take them all somewhere before they’re in HIGH SCHOOL… we’ll see.
